Im FREE!!!!!!!

So after a full month of being trapped in my house due to the 12,500 worth of damages to my van and its Rebuild/Repair finally coming to a conclusion... I am finally free.

Ok, its not like I never got out... I did get out a few times with family or friends, but I did want to impose on anyone.  I tell you, when you live in an area that has no public transit, and not even a bloody taxi, you really need a vehicle to have any level of independence or to be able to get any work done.

So, now I can come and go at my leisure again, which is a very liberating feeling.  Of course, I am coming and going in a van that used to be all new and sparkly and now has a few or more marks of "I not happy with the way you treated me."  But happily, she is running, apparently well, and has given me back my most wanted freedom.  Of course, I havent taken it farther than an hour away... time heal all wounds, right???

Speaking of wounds...
Last week I had a doctors appointment to check on how my injuries are healing, or not healing (in the case of my back).  She wrote a script for physio, and ultrasonic therapy (dont ask, I havent got a clue what it is).

Anyhow, I go to the clinic, and get this... (keep in mind) you are in pain, going for pain management, but surprise of all surprises, there is a waiting list.  Oh ok, great, well sign me up.  So I ask, "How long will the waiting period be?" Thinking a week or two tops.  NOPE.  Her reply "Four months, at best, and thats assuming a few ppl cancel."  Well... my response to that "Uh, well okay then, dont bother."

So, now Im looking for alternative Health Care... wow, I just love what this country has done with our medical system!

[soap box](Yes, dont get me wrong, I love Canada to death, but we are losing a battle here, and ppl need to catch a clue.)  Im lucky here, I can manage to deal with the inconveniences of my back pain, but what if I was a single mother on a fixed income and couldnt get around or work?? What if I was some old lady who has no family left???  Come on ppl, our great heath care system is slowly falling away from us. I want a  Government that truly gives a flying  hockey puck about Education and Medical Care.  [/soap box]
